A curved slab of stone hurls itself into the path of an attack, granting the triggering target a +2 bonus to AC against the incoming hit and lingering as light cover for the remainder of the duration. While the shield persists, the protected creature gains +2 AC against ranged attacks so long as it stays within 5 feet of the slab. The shield crumbles if it takes 15 or more damage in a single hit.

When cast using a slot of 2nd level or higher, the shield's damage threshold increases by 10 for each slot level above 1st.
