Word travels along the frontier circuit faster than any official record. Once you spend at least one evening preaching, comforting, or otherwise tending to the spiritual life of a settlement, the small community remembers you. On a return visit, or upon arrival in a town that has heard of you, you can secure shelter for yourself and up to four companions in a private home, a meeting hall, or a converted barn for as long as you remain on good terms — typically 1d4 nights without explanation, longer with continued service. Major faiths and federation chaplaincies may consider your doctrine suspect, and a sufficiently hostile clerical presence in a settlement nullifies this feature there.
