Warrior

The professional soldier. Trained, disciplined, deadly across the full range of arms — from broadsword to plasma cannon.

Hit Die · d10 STR or DEX Saves · STR / CON RA · non-channeler

Identity

What every standing army imagines itself to be. Warriors appear in every faction: a Halcyion Soldier carries a coil-rifle and the Federation's mark; an Aurelion Duelist defends a noble House with a sun-edged blade; an Iron Champion bears the heavy weapons; a Sentinel keeps the line. Mechanics over mysticism, training over inheritance.

Level Progression

  • L1
    Fighting Style

Choose one Fighting Style: Archery (+2 to ranged weapon attack rolls), Defense (+1 AC while wearing armor), Dueling (+2 damage when wielding a one-handed weapon and no other weapon), Great Weapon Fighting (reroll 1s and 2s on weapon damage dice, keep the new roll), Protection (use your reaction to impose disadvantage on an attack against an ally within 5 ft, requires shield), Two-Weapon Fighting (add ability mod to off-hand damage), or Marksman (ignore half cover on ranged attacks).

    Second Wind

Once per short rest, you can use a bonus action to regain 1d10 + your Warrior level in hit points.

  • L2
    Action Surge

Once per short rest, on your turn you can take one additional action on top of your regular action and possible bonus action.

  • L3 Subclass feature
    Martial Archetype

Choose your Martial Archetype — Soldier (Halcyion regular), Duelist (Aurelion court), Iron Champion (heavy weapons), or Sentinel (bodyguard / defender). Your Archetype grants features now and at 7th, 11th, 15th, and 18th level.

  • L4 ASI / Feat
  • L5
    Extra Attack

You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. The number of attacks increases to three at 17th level.

  • L6
    Tactical Awareness

You add your proficiency bonus to Initiative rolls. When you make an opportunity attack, you have advantage on the attack roll.

  • L7 Subclass feature
  • L8 ASI / Feat
  • L9
    Indomitable

When you fail a saving throw, you can choose to reroll it. You must use the new roll. You can use this feature once per long rest. The number of uses increases to twice at 14th level and three times at 18th level.

  • L10
    Martial Master Capstone

Your discipline integrates two Fighting Styles. Choose a second Fighting Style from the 1st-level list; you now have both. You can switch the second Style during a long rest spent training.

  • L11 Subclass feature
  • L12 ASI / Feat
  • L13
    Action Surge (2 uses)

You can now use Action Surge twice between rests, but only once on the same turn.

  • L14
    Indomitable (2 uses)

Indomitable can now be used twice per long rest.

  • L15 Subclass feature
  • L16 ASI / Feat
  • L17
    Extra Attack (3)

You can attack three times, instead of twice, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

  • L18 Subclass feature
    Indomitable (3 uses)

Indomitable can now be used three times per long rest.

  • L19 ASI / Feat
  • L20
    Living Weapon Capstone

Your body and discipline have fused into a single instrument of war. When you take the Attack action, you can make one additional attack as part of that action (granting four attacks total at 20th level). Additionally, once per long rest, when you are reduced to 0 HP and not killed outright, you instead drop to 1 HP and gain temporary HP equal to your Warrior level + your CON modifier.
