Features
- Dual-Form Perception
As Istryxian: you can sense, within 30 ft, the broad emotional state of any sapient creature whose mind is not warded or alien to your perceptual frequency. You read the weather of a mind, not specific thoughts.
- Ancestral Memory-Pool (Martial Inheritance)
As Istryxian, with a martial bias: once per long rest, when you make a check related to weapons, warfare, tactical history, fortification, or recognition of arms and insignia, you treat the result as if you had rolled a 17 (instead of the baseline 15), then add your modifiers. For non-martial Istryxian memory-pool checks, the baseline 15 still applies.
- Resonance-Reading
As Istryxian: you can sense the presence and broad School of active Rift energy within 60 ft, distinguishing channeled effects from ambient. You cannot identify specific channels by this sense alone.
- Battle-Honed Frame
D'horvakk are broader, heavier-built, and slightly taller than other Istryxian sublineages. Your carrying capacity is doubled, and you have advantage on Strength saving throws to avoid being moved, shoved, or knocked prone. Additionally, you gain proficiency with one martial melee weapon of your choice (typically a D'horvakk traditional blade or polearm) and one type of medium or heavy armor.
- Warrior's Inheritance
When you reduce a hostile creature to 0 HP in melee combat, you can use your reaction to grant an ally within 30 ft of you (who can see or hear you) temporary HP equal to your character level. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest. The D'horvakk pass strength forward; a kill is shared with the line.

D'horvakk tend to die slightly younger than their Zaelyth and Keth'rassa kin, owing to a cultural inclination toward warrior-paths and active service.
