Domain of Twilight

A cleric domain of dim places — Drownside mortuary-priests, frontier dusk-watchers, and Black Meridian funeral-clerics who hold vigil at the hour between things.

Identity

Twilight-clerics keep watch at the threshold. The hour before the patrol returns. The hour after the patient stops responding but before the certifier arrives. The hour when the Drownside undermarket's lamps go down and the priests come out to chant the night-rites over the day's body-count. Their gods are gentle, slow, and very patient. The Twilight-cleric does not deny the dark — they keep it from being lonely.

Features

  • L3 Watcher at the Threshold

**Domain Channels.** You always have the following channels prepared, and they do not count against the number of channels you can prepare each day: • 1st level: **Etheric Hand**, **Mist** • 3rd level: **Veil**, **Frost Bolt** • 5th level: **Shift**, **Cold Snap** (You may cast each from your domain preparation when you can normally cast a channel of that level.) **Eyes Adapted to Dusk.** You have darkvision to a range of 60 ft. If you already have darkvision from another source, the range of that darkvision increases by 60 ft. You also gain proficiency with martial weapons. **Channel Divinity: Twilight Sanctuary.** As an action, you present your holy symbol and a 10-ft radius sphere of dim, slow-moving violet light forms around you. The sphere moves with you for 1 minute. When a creature (you or another) ends its turn within the sphere, you may grant that creature one of the following benefits: temporary hit points equal to 1d6 + your Cleric level, or the ending of one Charmed or Frightened condition affecting them. A creature can benefit from the sanctuary once per turn. The sphere ends early if you are incapacitated or end it as a free action. This is a Channel Divinity option.

  • L7 Eyes of Night

Your darkvision extends to 300 ft. In addition, as an action, you can magically share this enhanced darkvision with willing creatures you can see within 10 ft of you, up to a number equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1). The shared darkvision lasts for 1 hour and has the same 300-ft range as yours. Sharing the darkvision does not require concentration and does not reduce your own vision.

  • L11 Channel Divinity: Twilight Step

Once per short or long rest, as a bonus action, you step through the dusk between spaces — you teleport up to 60 ft to an unoccupied space you can see. You may bring up to one willing creature of your size or smaller along with you, provided they are within 5 ft of you when you teleport; they appear in an unoccupied space within 5 ft of your destination. This is a Channel Divinity option.

  • L15 Steps of Night

You have a flying speed equal to your walking speed while you are in dim light, darkness, or twilight conditions (the hour before dawn or after dusk, planetside; or any low-light environment indoors). The flying speed ends immediately if you enter bright light, and resumes when you re-enter dim light or darkness. You also gain advantage on Stealth checks made in dim light or darkness.

  • L18 Avatar of Twilight

Once per long rest, as a bonus action, you assume the **Twilight-Avatar Form** for 1 minute. While in this form: dim, silver-violet light extends from you in a 30-ft radius (and dim light only — bright light sources within the radius are dampened to dim); at the start of each of your turns, each ally within the 30-ft aura regains 1d8 + your WIS modifier HP and gains advantage on the next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw they make before the end of their next turn; allies within the aura are lightly obscured to creatures outside the aura (creatures outside have disadvantage on attack rolls against them); and you have resistance to necrotic and radiant damage. The form ends early if you fall unconscious or end it as a free action.
