Identity
The Path of Fury is what happens when there is no creed, no captain, no pack, and no faith left — only the rage. These are the frontier wildmen who could not fit inside a Federation barracks, the Drownside dock-killers who fight in tournaments because no one will sign their wage-card, the survivors of failed colonies who lived through something the rest of their people did not. They burn brighter than any other Berserker and pay for it. The Path of Fury is older than the Berserker class itself — the design doc's archetype, stripped down to its rawest motion. Forward. Hit. Forward.
Features
- L3 Frenzy
When you enter Rage, you can choose to enter a **Frenzy**. For the duration of that Rage, on each of your turns you can make one additional melee weapon attack as a bonus action. When your Frenzy ends — whether the Rage ended naturally, you were knocked unconscious, or you dismissed it — you suffer one level of exhaustion. Entering Frenzy is optional each time you Rage; a non-Frenzy Rage does not impose exhaustion.
- L7 Brutal Recovery
Your body forgets injury the way it forgets discipline. When you succeed on a Constitution saving throw, you can choose to remove one level of exhaustion. You can use this feature once per short or long rest. Additionally, when you finish a short rest, you may spend one Hit Die without rolling and instead recover HP equal to its maximum value plus your Constitution modifier.
- L11 Endless Fury
Your Rage no longer has a per-long-rest cost. Instead, you can Rage a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest — *and* you can Rage one additional time per short rest beyond your long-rest limit. (At 20th level, *Primal Champion* supersedes this feature; until then, this is the most Rage-rich path in the class.)
- L15 Storm of Fury
Once per turn while raging, in place of one of your attacks under the Attack action, you can make a **Whirlwind**: a single melee weapon attack roll resolved against every creature of your choice within 5 ft of you. Use one attack roll, compare it to each target's AC separately; apply damage individually on a hit. Sneak Attack-style 'once per turn' damage riders only apply to one target of your choosing. You can use Storm of Fury a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier per long rest (minimum 1).
- L18 Pure Wrath
While raging, you cannot be incapacitated, stunned, or paralyzed. If an effect would impose any of those conditions on you, the effect is suspended for the duration of the Rage and resolves normally when the Rage ends. Additionally, exhaustion levels from Frenzy no longer apply while you are raging — they take effect only when your Rage ends, and any number of levels accumulated above the normal maximum of 6 simply force you unconscious for 1 hour at the rage's end rather than killing you.
