Identity
The sworn. A Paladin's channeling rests on the oath they keep: a Halcyion Crusader's vow to advance the Federation's light through any darkness; an Aurelion Sun-Sworn's promise to defend the stellar lineage; a Black Crown anti-paladin's compact with the Covenant of the Ebon Creed. Some oaths are darker than others. The Rift listens regardless — the oath is the conducting structure.
Proficiencies
Level Progression
- L1Divine Sense
As an action, you can sense the presence of strong Rift-marked entities within 60 ft of you that are not behind total cover. Aspects perceived: presence of consecrated, corrupted, undead, fey, infernal, or Rift-aberrant beings, plus any consecrated or desecrated place or object. Usable a number of times equal to 1 + your CHA modifier per long rest.
Lay on HandsYou have a pool of healing equal to your Paladin level × 5 hit points. As an action, you can touch a creature and restore HP from this pool, drawing from the pool point-for-point. Alternatively, you can spend 5 points from the pool to cure one disease or neutralize one poison affecting the creature. The pool refreshes on long rest.
- L2Fighting Style
Choose one Fighting Style: Defense (+1 AC while wearing armor), Dueling (+2 damage with a one-handed weapon and no other weapon), Great Weapon Fighting (reroll 1s and 2s on weapon damage dice), or Protection (use reaction to impose disadvantage on an attack against an ally within 5 ft, requires shield).
ChannelsYou channel Rift Energy through your sworn oath. Half-channeler progression: channel slots begin at this level. You prepare channels from the Paladin channel list, plus your Oath channels (always prepared) once chosen at 3rd level. Channel save DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + CHA modifier.
Divine SmiteWhen you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can expend one channel slot to deal additional radiant damage to the target. The damage is 2d8 for a 1st-level slot, +1d8 per slot level above 1st (max 5d8 at slot level 4 and higher). The damage increases by 1d8 if the target is a fiend or undead.
- L3 Subclass featureSacred Oath
You take an oath that binds you and shapes your channeling. Choose your Sacred Oath: Sun, Crusader (Halcyion), Vengeance, Black Crown (anti-paladin / Covenant of the Ebon Creed), Devotion, or Wild. Your Oath grants features now and at 7th, 11th, 15th, and 18th level, plus a list of Oath channels always prepared for you, plus one or more Channel Divinity options.
Divine HealthYour sworn channeling makes you immune to disease.
- L4 ASI / Feat

- L10Aura of Courage Capstone
You and friendly creatures within 10 ft of you cannot be Frightened while you are conscious.
- L11 Subclass featureImproved Divine Smite

- L12 ASI / Feat
- L14Cleansing Touch
As an action, you can touch a willing creature (including yourself) and end one channel-imposed effect on it (Charmed, Frightened, Poisoned, or one other channel effect of the GM's discretion). Usable a number of times per long rest equal to your CHA modifier (minimum 1).
- L15 Subclass feature
- L16 ASI / Feat
- L18 Subclass featureGreater Aura
The range of your Aura of Protection and Aura of Courage increases to 30 ft. Both auras now also apply to mounted allies and creatures inside the same vehicle as you (within the 30 ft range).
- L19 ASI / Feat
- L20Oath Apotheosis Capstone
Your sworn oath manifests visibly in your final form. Your Sacred Oath grants a transformative capstone — typically a 1-minute combat transformation usable once per long rest, conferring flight, advantage on attack rolls, resistance to multiple damage types, and a powerful subclass-defined aura. The specific shape of Oath Apotheosis is detailed in each Sacred Oath subclass.
