Features
- Natural Armor
Layered chitin plating covers your back, forearms, and brow. While you wear no armor, your AC equals 12 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use a shield and still benefit from this feature.
- Hunt Mark
You can fixate on a chosen prey. Once per long rest, you can spend 1 minute observing a creature you can see to designate it (or its kind, if it is a recognizable species or constructed type) as your marked prey. While the mark is active, you have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Wisdom (Survival) checks to find or track marked prey, and the first attack you land against a marked creature each turn deals an additional 1d6 damage of the weapon's type. The mark lasts until the prey is killed, you complete another long rest, or you mark a new target.
- Apex Predator
Zyrrak culture treats fear as a tool used against lesser hunters, not against you. You have resistance to effects that would impose the frightened condition, and you have advantage on saving throws to end the frightened condition on yourself at the start of your turn.
- Stalker's Patience
Zyrrak hunters can hold still for hours without losing edge. You can take the Hide action as a bonus action when you have any cover, concealment, or natural blind available. You also need only half the normal sleep required to gain the benefits of a long rest, spending the remaining hours in a watchful trance during which you remain aware of your surroundings.

Mature at 14 · Typical max 90 years
Zyrrak mature quickly under pressure. Without a clan-roost to retire into, most die in the hunt rather than to age.
