Features
- Constructed Body
Your body is engineered rather than born. You are immune to disease, and you do not need to eat, drink, or sleep in the conventional sense. Instead, once per 24 hours you must spend 6 hours in an **inactive state** — a low-power maintenance cycle equivalent to sleep — to gain the benefits of a long rest. You have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you are resistant to poison damage.
- Integrated Armor
Your body is itself your armor. Your AC equals 11 + your Dexterity modifier + your Constitution modifier. You cannot wear separate body armor over your integrated plate (shields, gauntlets, helms, and other piecemeal protective gear are unaffected). When you take a long rest, you may use Smith's tools or a maintenance bay to refit and refinish your plate; doing so does not change your AC but is required to prevent gradual corrosion or wear over months of hard use.
- Sentry's Rest
During your 6-hour inactive state, you remain marginally conscious of your surroundings. Your passive Perception score remains active during this period — you do not gain advantage from sleeping watchmen, but neither are you surprised by anything that would alert a creature with your passive Perception score. You may end your inactive state early in response to a threat without penalty, though doing so before the full 6 hours costs you the benefits of the long rest (treat the partial cycle as a short rest instead).
- Forged-Tongue
You can read, write, and speak Common and one of the following: a Halcyion technical dialect, a frontier engineering cant, or the binary-trace language spoken between Warforged of common manufacture. You understand maintenance manuals, engineering schematics, and the operational chatter of your own subsystems as native speech.

Lifespan
Mature at 2 · Typical max 200 years
A Warforged is considered fully matured within roughly 2 years of activation — long enough to internalize their identity and integrate their core. With consistent maintenance, replacement of worn components, and protection of their bound-channel core, a Warforged may persist for 200 years or longer. Core failure or catastrophic damage to the core is the only true terminal condition for the lineage.
